Our second day in Whistler was just as packed as the first, starting with a delicious breakfast at the Fairmont Chateau, a canoe adventure with Canadian Wilderness & time out at the Scandinave Spa (one of my most favourite places, a must visit when in Whistler!)
We were then spoiled with a 5 course dinner at Araxi...but my absolute favourite dishes were the Dungeness Crab & Lobster Sushi Roll starter, the Seared Wild Alaskan Scallops with Sweet Pea & Mint Ravioli...and of course the chocolate cake, so delicious!!
It was so much fun spending time in Whistler during the summer...it is certainly known as a ski/snowboard mountain (you may recognize it from the 2010 Olympics), but I was blown away at all of the activities, restaurants & relaxing offerings there are in the village during the warmer months...there is still so much I want to do on my next trip up (including the Peak to Peak Gondola...it was cloudy on our 2nd day so we didn't do it, but wow does it ever look amazing!)
We headed back from Green Lake with Harbour Air, this time heading along the water rather than through the mountain pass, and it was equally as breathtaking.
The trip went by way too quickly, but luckily Whistler is a quick & easy plane ride away, so I am sure I will be heading back soon!
