Sayulita Diary & City Guide.
I absolutely loved exploring the city of Sayulita...delicious food, stunning beaches and such friendly people made for one amazing trip. Here are a few of my musts when travelling to Sayulita.
SIGHTS
Playa Escondida - This beautiful resort is what you dream about when planning a getaway...it has the most amazing infinity pool tucked amongst lush jungle flora & fauna-and the private beach front is out of this world. Well worth a visit even if you do not stay at the resort for a day pass at their beach or a meal in their restaurant (where you can see the most amazing sunset!)
La Marietas Islands - A fun place to spend the day (you can take a boat from Sayulita or Punta Mita) and swim in the caves and explore around the cliffs.
Wild Mex - I headed out on a surf lesson with the team from Wild Mex, they were fantastic and made for an unforgettable afternoon!
Revolucion del SueΓ±o- I honestly went into this shop about 3 or 4 times during my time in Sayulita because it was so cute! I picked up a super cute necklace there and a tote by my favourite Sayulita artist, Paylina Gutierrez Polischuk. Love this spot!
Gamur Crochet Bikini's - Beautiful hand made crochet bathing suits & bikini's, the perfect souvenir, they are so beautiful! They also make really cute suits for children, you can't go wrong.
BITES
El Espresso-Best breakfast spot! Right in the heart of Sayulita, offering huge cups of coffee and delicious breakfast (amazing fruit bowl and super yummy smoothies)
Waikika Heladeria - The ice cream is super yummy, but for me, it is all about their popsicles! Made with fresh fruit, they are not to be missed.
Buonissimo - Italian Gelato in Mexico? Perfect after a day on the beach.
Tacos on the Street - If you venture across the bridge, make sure to visit this taco spot! They offer fresh cucumbers to start, and their hand made corn tortilla's are to die for. The chicken quesadilla was my absolute favourite!
Street Sticks - You can choose from grilled Mahi Mahi, Chicken or Vegetables on a stick, and honestly it is the best thing I ate during my visit! Vendors walk around the town with the sticks in hand, keep your eyes peeled, they are divine.
El Itacte - You may not always find a seat here because it is so popular...but worth a wait! Best fish tacos with no fuss, no muss, just delicious food...my kinda spot.
I can't wait to go back, it was such an amazing adventure!
