Prague

The last time I visited Prague I was 18~so it was really nice to get to explore the beautiful city again.

There is so much to do in Prague! Here is a small guide of what to do when in the city:

Old Town ~You can wander through the cobble stoned streets where there are a plethora of shops and restaurants and cafes, including outdoor smokie stations where you can get a hot dog and chips - Very happy! You can also wander past (or go up for a great view) the astronomical clock (which goes off every hour)

Jewish Quarter /Jewish Museum- Located in Old Town as well, you can visit the Synagogue & the Jewish Museum, including the Jewish Graveyard. I would give yourself at least 2 hours to see everything…there is a lot of writing and it is definitely emotional so you want to take your time.

Charles Bridge- The famous bridge in Prague - Fun to walk across OR to check out from one of the other bridge’s.

Petrin Hill -My favourite spot in Prague! This is a beautiful park where locals come to hangout and enjoy the sunshine, get a workout in or just generally hang out. You can walk all the way to the top (a really beautiful walk through the trees) and then you get an amazing view of the city from the top. There is also a cute restaurant with amazing views halfway up (perfect spot for an Aperol Spritz and they play jazz music…perfect!) At the top there are lots of things to do…There are snack carts, a room of mirrors (why I don’t know, but it takes about 2 seconds to walk through - A pass unless you have children) and of course the mini Eiffel Tower. You can also take a little train car up to the top if you don’t/can’t walk.

The River - This is my second favourite spot in the city! The river is really pretty, and there are tons of restaurants along the river where you can sit and take in the view - There is also a ton of park area for you to just sit and chill, and you can take out row boats and peddle boats to go up and down the river…a perfect afternoon in the city.

Old Castle Stairs -Worth the climb! Take the stairs up to get a beautiful view of the city, and a really cool view of the rooftops. There is also a medieval pub (Stredoveka Krcma) along the way dating back to the 13th century that still serves mead and have performances at 7pm with sword fights etc -again a fun thing to do with kids or fun to just stop in for a pint.

Ballet & Opera - Must do’s while in Prague! There are performances nightly (and matinees on weekends) and they are quite a good deal for top rates performances.

Wenceles Square - Such a pretty area (and super important historically) It is busier here and is more modern than Old Town, but there is tons of shopping and restaurants in this area, as well as the most beautiful historical hotel, Hotel Europe, which is just pretty to see from the outside!

The Bowls - My favourite! Super healthy spot with the nicest staff

Nostress -We ate here so many times because it is relatively healthy, it is cozy, and it has great drinks & coffee.
